- BB_TXNomadWith America the Beautiful, be sure and check out COE parks on your route. Don’t know if they all do, but we often go to one with 50 amp FHU, large concrete pads and patios, and other amenities for 1/2 off (or $12/nt).
- LwiddisExplorer IISome states reserve senior passes for their citizens only.
- FloridaNative49ExplorerGreat suggestion! We’ve stayed at COE parks before —always a great experience and have at least three or four on this trip so far lined up.
- BarabooBobExplorer IIIAmerica the Beautiful pass does not get you 50% off. A Senior Pass or Access Pass (disability pass) will get you 50% off.
The America the Beautiful pass gets you free entrance to any Fed NP or Monument. This does not include special fees for cave tours, boat rides, etc.
The Senior pass is a one time fee of $80. Access Pass is free with a doctor's letter explaining that you are disabled and have a difficult time getting around. An America the Beautiful Pass is good for one calendar year. These are for the Federal passes. State passes vary by state. - Roy_LynneExplorerI know that you can buy a pass for New Mexico State Parks for camping. Its $225 for a calendar year and you can use it at any state park, dry camping would be free and $4 for electric sites. But NM camping is pretty cheap, like $18 a night for developed sites so would have a spend more than two weeks there for it to save money. Utah Senior passes are pretty cheap, only $35 but they only cover day use sites. When we were in South Dakota we only went to one place that was state and that was Custer State Park and we took the kids swimming, all the rest of the sites we visited were National.

Discounts vary, esp if vendor operated, but you should ask. - Dick_BExplorerAdventure Caravans has a month long tour in September of the western parks. They do all the planning for you. All you have to do is enjoy!
- ReneeGExplorerAlso check out BLM campgrounds. In Idaho, they are $5 a night, $2.50 with your Senior Lifetime Pass! All FS CG's are 50% off with the Senior Lifetime Pass.
In Idaho, out-of-state guests have savings options too! You can purchase a $40 Motor Vehicle Entry Fee (MVEF) Annual sticker and receive unlimited access for overnight camping and day-use entrance to all of Idaho's 30 beautiful state parks- a savings of $5 per day. MVEF Annual stickers can be purchased at any Idaho State Park and online. If you're going to do a lot of camping at Idaho State Parks, then it's worth it. - FloridaNative49ExplorerExcellent. “BLM” ??
