- Two_HandsExplorerWe have visited Sequoia National Park several times and always stay in Three Rivers just outside the south entrance to the park. We use our dingy to visit the park. We like to have full hookups and there are no campgrounds in the park that have them. Check the park's web site to learn all about their campgrounds to include rv size limits. Have a great trip.
- rr2254545ExplorerWe are currently at Three Rivers Hideaway in Three Rivers, small but nice. I would recommend it. We have fullhookups with cable, but only 30 amp as 50 amp sites are limited
- loggenrockExplorerWe stayed at NPS CG's in Sequoia - Potwisha and Azalea. Both had sites large enough for A's and 5-ers. No hookups at either. No cell service at Potwisha (they have a pay phone there...), but service at Azalea. Have a good trip. We visited 2 years ago in late April/early May. ST
- Ron3rdExplorer IIISequoia RV Ranch is the nicest in the area IMO. It's in Three Rivers and not too far from the entrance to Sequoia. Friends of ours bought the campground about 8 years ago and put a ton of money and effort into it. Beautiful place with full hookups. Get a spot on the river if you can!
Sequoia RV Ranch - DrbolaskyExplorerSequoia RV Ranch. Nice place but be sure you have your bug repellant.
- Ron3rdExplorer IIIWe didn't have any bugs the last time we were there, but it could be seasonal. BTW, Three Rivers gets hot in the summer.
- rr2254545ExplorerWe went to Kings Canyon -(well not much open as road to the end opens next week)but one way it is 2 hours from here in Three Rivers. Not sure what campgrounds are north but if I came again I would camp both north and south of the park
- VeebyesExplorer IIWe did Azalea a few years ago. Much nicer to be inside the park than at a CG outside which has all the character of a McDonalds or Dennys.
- twotoesExplorerThe roads and campgrounds within the park restrict big rigs. I stayed at Three Rivers Hideaway with my 5th wheel toy hauler and drove my Ford F-350 into the park.
- profdant139Explorer IIActually, I think you can take a big rig up 180 to Azalea -- we have seen them there. The highway to Grant Grove is fine, and the interior roads at the campground are pretty good. But I would not recommend a big rig at Dorst or Lodgepole, and not in the Cedar Grove area, either.
