For visiting Sequoia NP, we stayed at a private RV park in Three Rivers because there is a 22-ft limit on 198 from Three Rivers to the Potwisha Campground. After driving the hairpins on 198 in our Ram 2500, I understand why. Our truck was long enough on those curves without even towing anything.
When went left Sequoia for King's Canyon, we drove around through Visalia to go to Walmart for groceries, then took 180 into KCNP. We wanted to see both halves of KCNP, so we stayed in between at the beautiful Princess Campground. Princess is located in a grove of huge sequoias and we actually had an entire cg loop to ourselves (in June!). While in the park, we also visited Hume Lake and Grant Grove cgs, but liked ours better than either. We would go back to Princess in a minute if we were ever back there and have recommended it to several friends.
