Haven't done that route, but since this is a "destination" trip & not a sight seeing trip, the I-44,I-40-I-10 would be the fastest, and since you say you're used to driving very long days, a stop near Oklahoma City would be about a 14.5 hour day, then on to Tucson would be about another 14 hours. My question is, why are you flying, with 5 people in a 31 ft class C there should be room for all, a little crowded yes, but it's only for one trip.
Thanks for the info on the roads. We'd all drive down in the Class C. Just my son and I would go if we fly.
Does that make more sense?
The drive is sooo looooong. Do-able, yes. And we've done long trips before. But we'd all be able to go (including the fur kids).
Flying is just quicker and more convenient. And probably cheaper because it would just be the two of us.
Thanks again!
