Should we drive from Lansing, Mich., to Tucson, Arizona?

We're trying to decide whether to drive our oldest to the University of Arizona in August. Anyone do this route (or similar) before? Google maps says 28 hours; Mapquest says 30 hours. Either way, t...

Since your trip is in August it's not the ideal time for heading to Arizona with the family and dogs. It will be extremely HOT. Perhaps you could all make the RV trip to visit him during a winter break or in spring.
