Should we drive from Lansing, Mich., to Tucson, Arizona?

We're trying to decide whether to drive our oldest to the University of Arizona in August. Anyone do this route (or similar) before? Google maps says 28 hours; Mapquest says 30 hours. Either way, t...

That is a LONG trip considering the purpose. Me personally, we would be flying.

You're talking 2000 mile in 3 days, basically 700 miles/day. Each way. Count me out. :)
