Sisters Oregon

Has someone been to Sisters Oregon? If so could you please suggest a decent campground with full hookups. Traveling in a 27 foot Travel Trailer,Thanks
  • Theres a huge rv park there. Look on rv park reviews. For campgrounds look at USFS.
  • There's one RV park in Sisters. Actually called a campground.
Have stayed in Bend Garden RV Park that's 4 miles east of Sisters. It's kinda spendy but nice.
The one in Sisters is the Sisters Creekside Campground. It's a little crowded looking but looks nice as well. I've driven in to use the dump station on the way back to Salem.
  • We drove through the campground in Sisters on our last trip there and decided to pass on it. It was quite crowded and the spaces looked pretty tight. I believe this park is first come/first served.

You do need to be aware that several weekends/weeks in Sisters are very crowded (rodeo, quilt show, etc.), so you should check availability as soon as you know your dates.
  • I don't think previous comments on the Bend-Sisters Garden RV Park gave it due credit. It is REAL nice. Spendy - but you get what you pay for. It's only a couple miles east of Sisters - and right on the highway.

I agree and didn't mean to under cut it. We've been there several times. The grounds are well kept, staff was always friendly to us at least. Only caveat is there are a couple spots that are real close, and I mean real close to your neighbors. The last time we stayed there we got the last spot. The neighbors fire pit was literally a few feet from the front of our 5er.
We've also stayed in other spots there that were spread out a bit more and much further away from neighbors.
The pool/hot tub area is nice as well.
A word of caution though is that it will fill fast on weekends.
  • My previous comment was not regarding the Bend-Sisters RV, but about the campground in town. Hope I didn't cause confusion. We have not stayed at either, since we prefer to be near the water, either at Camp Sherman or Suttle Lake. There is one RV park at Camp Sherman, but it is NOT one I would recommend. It is the only full hookup park in that area, however.
  • Sister-Creekside is somewhat crowded but the price was fine. They took reservations when we were there last fall. Only stayed overnight just wanted a place to stay knowing we were going to get a late start. The sites are gravel but level. There is a restaurant within walking distance, didn't try it but it was highly recommended by the host. When we pulled out late morning we just parked on one of the side streets in town and walked to a place in town to eat. I would stay again.
  • We will be there for the Quilt show in early July. We tried to make reservations at the city owned park in town. They were doing some renovations and working on a program to do their reservations.
We could not get firm commitments on when we could get reservations.
We decided to stay at Camp Sherman on the Metolius river. it is about 15 miles to the town.
My wife (the quilter) was disappointed that the in town campground was not available but for me (the fly fisherman) the Camp Sherman location is great.
    Good Luck

  • It is Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort. First class - one of the best of the 178 different RV parks we have stayed in.....were there in Fall 2014. Used to be a KOA I think. This it is like $54.
  • There's also this 'resort'....haven't stayed there - too pricey.

The pictures on the Bend/Sister Garden RV site looks like the sites are really close together. We've always stayed at a forest service campground.
