site 231 Fort Desoto, Fl

Question

We have stayed at FD before so familiar with the layout somewhat. Just wondering if anyone has stayed on this particular site before ( maybe the one next to it )?

Particularly interested in being able to launch my kayaks from the site to fish the bay. From the pic and their map it appears their may be some vegetation between the site and the water.

Also some sites have a steep bank which makes launching difficult, although I don't think that would be the case here.

Anyone there that can check it out or with first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

I was there in April and was in 208 which had water access but was on the smaller side. I made a list of the ones that had water access that I thought were the "cream of the crop" for when we go back.. If you look at google maps you can see two red kayaks near the water in the vicinity of 231. Looks like there is a little bit of grass or something before you hit the mangroves though.
