X2 - captbruExplorerTake a look at Williston Crossings. Williston is about 18 miles into Gainsville. This park is a Good Sams 10/10/10 park. Go there all the time with our rallies.
Williston Crossings - bukhrnExplorer IIIHave never been there, but am looking around for the same reason, Paynes Prairie State Park has a few with 50A hook up, & a 58 ft max., it's roughly 21 mi. to the track. Although you may already be to late for this year.
- jeb5ExplorerTravelers Rest, Alchula is a very different type of campground, but we like it very much. Read the comments on rvparkreviews.com. All sites are lined up bumper to bumper with access road on your right. It works very well if you follow their directions.
Happy Trails - Markiemark32ExplorerRight off Alachua exit for Hwy 441, 441 which runs into the side of G'ville with the dragstrip, is this campground:

Big rig friendly, gets mixed reviews, I believe sites kind of on top each other.
22 miles to the dragway, with most of that on 441 (super easy drive)!
Campground has been there for 30+ years (I grew up in the area), in general a safe aera, etc.....
Have a great trip, Gator Nats is a great event!
Markiemark:C - agesilausExplorer IIIIf you cannot find a better CG, the horse center about a mile from where we live (in Newberry) has a big camping sign out front. It's about 15-20 miles from the racetrack. If you are interested I'll get the phone number for you.
With all the sporting events that occur in this area it's a surprise that there are so few CG. High Springs has a couple but I've never been in them.
