Slab organization
Bad moon on the rise for slabbers. People that took over Salvation Mountain trying to organize Slab City community, form a charitable organizations and take slabs off state's hands. Not sure any good...

I think that the push for change is coming from several corners, one of them being the EPA. The testing of the Chocolate Mountain bombing range has indicated very high levels of contaminants and I am guessing it's leaching into the canal and surrounding agriculture areas. I Googled Chocolate Mountain EPA and there are some big pieces there.
Now, what a non-profit charity bunch is doing in that mix, I can't even guess.
