Sleeping bear dunes camping??

Would like to go there in a day or two. Those of you who have been there, where did you stay with your RV. Our 5th wheel is 40 ft long.

Tried the search function but nothing came up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  • They have quite a few sites that are large enough. On ABC someone said it had the best sites of any National Park and now it is difficult to get in. Good luck.

X3 Indigo Bluffs. Good location to visit the entire area.

X4. Easily will handle a big rig. Great Place.
  • Tryed to get a reservation at Indigo Bluffs but they were booked up. Drove into Platte River campground, stopped at the visitor center and asked for a camp site. Ranger looked at the board, two spots left in loop two for the "first come first served" folks. One was 50 ft. long, guess who got it??? Yea, we're in and will now enjoy the exploration part of our trip.

Top that off with the Senior Pass and we get a rate of $16 per night.

Thanks folks for all the suggestions.
  • My computer has been sick for the past several days so I'm late to the party. Glad you followed the very excellent advice of TravelNutz. In your future should be day trip to Frankfort and then to Leland, Northport, and Suttons Bay. Those would be my picks and I'd skip Trav. City.
