Smoky Mountains National Park Summer Crowds
Looking for a destination to escape the heat and humidity in July/August. How bad are the crowds?

I have been there in July and August and it was not a place to excape the heat and humity. Got stuck in a traffick jam goind to Cades Cove in 100 degree heat with 90% humidity. On a side note, I am in the Piedgon Forge right now and it is pouring down rain and about 50 degrees.
