Smoky Mtns-most scenic campground?

Pine Mountain RV Park is not scenic but has a nice pool and facilities and you will get all the scenery you want in the Smokey Mountain NP. Enjoy.

It's a heck of a "pull" up to the top, they will have someone lead you up there. You're gonna LOVE IT once you get up there though!!! :B

It rates close to the top of our list of best campgrounds that we've stayed at! You just cannot beat that view. Enjoy.

Mile High CG and Balsam Mountain CG are the most secluded and scenic, but it comes with a price, and the price is they have no hook-ups and they are not close to GB or PF, it is 11 miles up the BRP to the turn off of Heintooga Ridge road, we love staying at Mile High because of the quiet and the nature that is all around, 2 times we have had Elk walk between us and the camper while sitting by the fire and birdwatching.

they are not anything like a resort, but for a camping experience it can't be beat.

Any of the nice campgrounds in Townsend. We enjoy Big Meadows, but there are several.

We loved the views from the place we stayed in Cherokee (Flaming Arrow). We found Cherokee much preferable to the western side with all the commercial buildup.

We like. Lazy Days Campground. River front sites, pool not much traffic. Close to Cade’s cove for the early morning/late evening wildlife drives.

fyi, in regards to references for Anchor Down in earlier posts , it is not in the Smokies-- several miles away on Douglas Lake, but as others said, if a pool is necessary, you will be outside the park.
Unless you like being tied up in traffic, I'd avoid Pigeon Forge,Gatlinburg, Sevierville.
Maggie Valley,Cherokee and Asheville have many places with pools, but are all outside the park limits but an easy drive into the park and/or the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We will be back at Mama Gerties for a week on our way to Maine this summer. but no pool there that I can recall. Then probably to Maggie for several days before heading north .

I've stayed in both Cades Cove & Elkmont campgrounds in the park. Elkmont is a bit higher, so will be cooler in the Spring, but it does have a small river running through it with some sites on it. Cades Cove has a nearby camp store, and is a good location for early morning drives on the Cades Cove loop road. As mentioned, both are dry campgrounds. The "C" section of Cases Cove is no generators.

If you must have a pool, the Townsend KOA has a pool plus some sites on the Little River. It is about a mile from the entrance to the Smokey Mountain National Park .
