I have been in both places and I would say it depends on your requirements. I have wintered for 10 years near Quartszite because we are big UTV riders and it fits our requirements. I am an outdoorsman an like open spaces. But that's my requirements. I would say spend a winter in both places and you make up your mind which place meets your requirements. Texas is going be a little warmer and more humid than Arizona.:)
