Thanks everyone for your replies, I really appreciated it. We decided on Arizona for our first attempt at snow-birding starting in October. We'll be staying at Leaf Verde rv park just west of Phoenix. We're excited!
~Thanks again, John
Leaf Verde is a one of many RV parks in the area. The way I selected a RV park in that area was to research each RV park and make a list of their facility amenities and activities i.e. swimming pool, golf course, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, restaurant, on site entertainment. Then I really check the exact size of each individual RV site. I do not like sites that are so small and cramped so that you are too close to your neighbor, with little privacy. Does the rv site provide ample room to park your truck without being a challenge and chore.
I stayed at El Mirage RV Resort for 12 years for 4 months at a time. Beautiful RV resort but you have to decide if you can tolerate the F25 noise jets flying over from Luke AFB. Leaf Verde is near about 7 Major League Baseball stadiums for spring training baseball. Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians play about 5 miles from Leaf Verde.
