You might enjoy following the Texas, Louisiana border down to the coast, Get on the Bolivar Peninsula, take the free ferry to Galveston Island, It can handle big rigs. Explore Galveston Island then drive the barrier islands, spend more time in The Rockport Fulton area, Worlds largest Live Oak Tree at Goose Island State Park. Also a nearly 2 mile long fishing pier in Fulton. Cross on the ferry again from Port Aransas to Aransas Pass, Camp at Mustang Island State Park on the beach, Then explore North Padre Island, See the Historic aircraft carrier the Lexington at Corpus Christie, then head for South Padre Island, Port Isabel and Brownsville. Don't miss the secluded beaches at Boca Chica. Then head west through the Rio Grande Valley, Nearly 500 RV Parks in this area, Stop by Mission and say hello, Then on your way north visit San Antonio & the Hill country.
