To throw a little more into the stew. Buddy of mine did exactly what you're thinking. He use to pull a 5'ver south, he got tired of doing that, then bought a park model. His wife didn't think the park model was big enough compared to their old 5'ver. He then bought a bigger park model with decks and overhangs. All was good for a couple of years.
They then stopped doing the activities in that RV park (which made their lot rent expensive.) He is now in the process of dismantling it all and will be having it moved to a cheaper park just down the road.
He's in the Texas RGV and he's complaining about the high park vacancy rate he's seeing. Doesn't think he could sell his park model anytime soon, causing him to dismantle/move it.
Hard to say what type of bang for his buck he got.
