You might also want to check the RV Parks right on the calif. Arizona border on the Colorado River. Go to Good Sam RV Parks to check them out. I have never stayed in the area but do drive bye every year as i go from Calif. to Ariz.
Again, they don't have a car and while the river is there for the kids, no way to walk anywhere for shopping, etc.
