Be aware that most CG's in the North and Midwest close around October 1st. Do a search for along your route to see if any are open without hookups so you have a place to stay for the night.
Coming from the north during winter months I leave the MH winterized. I bought a porta-pottie and set it in the bathroom next to the MH toilet if needed. ( I refuse to use public bathrooms at gas stations!) And I Carry a couple of jugs of water on board for washing hands etc.
Although most northern CG's completely close around October I found that CG's along the side of the interstates will still be open but without water hookup. I stay in these overnight and use their bathroom facilities and shower.
When I hit the southern states where there are full hook ups I de-winterize at the CG by simply running water thru all the lines until all the ant-freeze is gone.
