Nina, you nailed it -- the Goosenecks area is, to me, the essence of boondocking -- endless sky, howling wind, emptiness, silence. This is what I see in my mind's eye as I sit in my urban office, listening to the ceaseless background drone of traffic and the thump of helicopters:

That shot of our trailer was taken way out on one of the "peninsulas" in the Goosenecks area, less than a mile from the State Park itself, on a cold breezy October afternoon.
