- shenandoahvalleExplorerWe are staying at Ocala Sun RV Resort just south of Ocala. Nice, clean park, reasonable rates, owned by a young family who seem intent on really improving the place. Kinda full right now though.
- WandaLust2ExplorerWe stay in a mixed RV/cabin resort about 8 miles from The Villages. It's like country yet there's shopping and some restaurants only 2 miles away. And there's The Villages with great shopping in the other direction. Ocala is 15 minutes away.
- Billieg2ExplorerWinter Garden RV park on rt 50. Nice park close to everything and last year they had a $399 per month + elec.

Be sure to consider Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in Crystal River. Great state park type atmosphere with all the amenities in great area. Note rates INCLUDE electricity!
I second Rock Crusher. Beautifully landscaped, quiet, nice vegetation "fences" between most sites, great pool and hot tubs.
Another one you might check out is Holiday Springs in Spring Hill, just south of Crystal River. They have a lot of year-round and seasonal residents, but lots of short term sites as well. They have a really unique swimming pool which is actually a natural spring. They build a patio around it. Click here. - LynnandCarolExplorerjust making sure I don't loose this post....lol
- You_can_t_take_ExplorerWe are in Forest Lake RV Park in Zephyrhills. A very nice park and centrally located. There are probably in the neighbourhood of 20 RV parks in and around Zephyrhills. Between Tampa (45 mins.) and Orlanda (about 60 to 75 mins.). And, there are still sites available here to-day!!

- EycomExplorerThere is some good value in CGs in the northern part of the state. Look along Hwy 17, south of Palatka, Fl along the St. Johns river in little towns like Satsuma, Fl re: Half Shell Resort or Welaka. Or maybe along Hwy 40 in the Ocala National Forest around Silver Springs, Fl. And of course Hwy 98 in the panhandle along the gulf coast you'll find favorite wintering spots. RV Park Reviews would be a good source.
Weather won't be much worse than central Fl. Prices will be a little cheaper and traffic will be more manageable. Either way, good luck and enjoy.
