- paulcardozaExplorerIf you want an all-inclusive CG with loads of family activities and so many amenities you'll never have to leave the grounds........ Ocean Lakes is your choice.
Just be aware that its NOT a quiet, serene CG. Lots of people and golf carts. HOWEVER, March in MB can be iffy so the crowds may not be bad at all............ - mookieExplorerThanks for the advice and assistance. Appreciate it all

Edisto Beach SP

Myrtle Beach SP
Buck Hall - USFS
Ted H. - buckyExplorer IITake suntan lotion and winter parkas. We've had both needs in MB in March, sometimes on the same day.
- CrabbypattyExplorerWe have stayed at Pirateland CG many times. They are very accommodating. Im not sure about availability at any of them in March as that's an off season time. So call ahead lots off info on the web. Happy Trails
- RGar974417ExplorerWe love Huntington Beach State Park. They have some FHU and the rest water and electric. Short walk to the beach.Nice camp store. They have great nature programs. Some in the nature lodge some on the beach. You can visit the home of the Huntingtons who owned the property. Next door is Brookgreen Gardens and right down the road is Murrels Inlet with some nice restaurants like Drunken Jacks.
- MerrykaliaExplorerWe just back from a week on the OBX of NC. I realize that is a little further north, but it was wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend "Camp Hatteras RV Park". I know they do monthly rentals and they have 4 bath houses, an outdoor and indoor pool and hot tub. Good wifi.
We LOVE Hunting Island SP, but it has been hit hard with two different hurricanes and I know it took out over half of their sites. It's still a wonderful place, just not as good as it used to be.
Also, James Island County Park outside of Charleston is really nice. We spent a week there for spring break several years ago and it was in the mid 60s-70s the whole time. - charmingExplorerEdisto Beach, between Charleston and Beaufort is a very nice ocean front campground but it is not full service, so is Hunting Island east of Beaufort.
Huntington Beach and Myrtle Beach State park are both very nice, but most of the state parks do not allow longer than two weeks at a time.
We used to like Ocean Lakes at the south end, between Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. There are several large private ocean front camp grounds in that section. - magnusfideExplorer II

My wife and I are looking to spend the month of March in South Carolina. Any reccomendations or places to avoid. Thanks
Depends on what you like.
IF you like tourist crowds and fun parks go to Myrtle Beach.
IF you like quieter camping try Huntington Beach State Park. - garmpExplorer IIWe to plan on South Carolina, but at the end of April/early May. And thinking more south like Charleston area.
Not meaning to hijack a thread. So also interested in coastal areas including Myrtle Beach.
Sorry and thanks
