- Iraqvet05ExplorerWe stayed at Peacock Meadows last years and enjoyed our stay. It's a typical commercial CG in that the sites are fairly close together but it was clean, the staff was friendly and they had bingo one night. It's a fairly new CG so if you look at the address on Google Maps, you will see an empty field. There was a CG farther west on 160 that had sites so close together, it looked like the awnings of some campers were touching their neighbors.

We can say exactly the same thing. You can walk down to the Rio Grande--within the campground. - 12th_Man_FanExplorerIt has been many years but we used to stay at Fun Valley. If you had kids that was the place to stay. I know they have added many camping sites and it is more crowded than it used to be but check it out.
Back then they had a good restaurant ,game rooms ,nightly entertainment , and a square dance hall and it was gated with great fishing. - A1RVTravelerExplorerSouth Fork Campground is just East of town and right on the river. It has about 50 sites and is in the trees. It is beautiful. The park managers are wonderful, friendly people and can give you a ton of advice regarding places to fish and ATV. There On-the-River sites are fantastic.
