Historical averages are a good starting place BUT the year to year variations can make a BIG difference. The forecasts is 3-5 degrees colder than normal for Waco, TX.
I've been impressed with the accuracy of this guy's forecasts over the last four winters, especially as he went out on the limb on 4/29/15. Does not look great for TX but the other three areas look warm/normal.
