We are going to stay a few days in southport and was wondering whats a good campground to stay at near the city?

A correction to Terryallan ...There is at least one oceanfront campground between MB and Topsail, there may be others, but the Holden Beach fishing pier / campground is open and oceanfront. It is not big and not fancy not a lot of amenities but it stays pretty busy during the season. Don't know their rates etc. but I live down the road from them and they are open and oceanfront. Will not likely help the op since it is about 45 minutes to Southport. If more info is needed call Holden Beach fishing pier 9108426483 or send me a message and I will stop by there and get some info for you. Also there is a new CG just off Holden Beach, just opened in the last year. Can't recall the name but if interested let me know and I will find out. It would be about 30-45 minutes to Southport. Don't know of any in Southport.
