Spring gulch

Thinking about going to Spring Gulch campground in New Holland Pa. In a few weeks. Any comments about it will be appreciated Thanks
  • We stay at Spring Gulch usually twice a year and love it. Very nice campground with lots of space. As a previous poster stated, 1500 sites are were we stay.

  • Before you book either Spring Gulch or Country Haven, I would ask if you plan to do any site-seeing. Both campgrounds are a bit out of the way of the tourist spots. If you want to be more in the thick of things, I would suggest Old Mill Stream or Beacon Hill.
  • Have been there several times in the past and going again in June. We like the sites in the 1500's on top of the hill. Large sites and mostly shaded. A pool and hot tub is located in this area of the campground. Also, a pool in the bottom section near the office. Need to drive from the top to the bottom and no bikes going downhill as it is very steep. We certainly enjoy it. I would also say the Country Haven the Preferred sites provide the best view. Enjoy.
  • Haven't been there in a few years. We like the premium sites up on the hill. Big sites with trees between them, so you have some privacy from your neighbors.
  • We haven't stayed at Spring Gulch in years, but I remember our site being very dusty from people driving by. If you aren't taking kids, try Country Haven. I don't think you will be disappointed.

  • We also like Country Haven. Best CG view in the area. But - there is really nothing for kids to do and they do enforce their rules - something we appreciate!

We havn't stayed there since the kids grew up.Had lots to do for kids years ago. It's in a beautiful part of Lancaster. We usually stay in Country Haven now. Its across the street( well almost)from Spring Gulch and lots of the sites have a great view of Lancaster Valley.
It's a little pricey but in our estimation its worth it.

    That's also our story.
  • Spring Gulch has a great small Folk Fest on May 17 18 and 19. Check out their web site for more information.
