st joseph pennisula and st george island state parks

we are going on a new adventure with the new camper and driving down to cape san blas to st joseph pennisula state park for 4 nites then driving over to st george island state park for a couple days....

The last time I was down on Cape San Blas at St. Joe State Park (10 years ago), pets were allowed, but as mentioned, not allowed on the beach. I did not see any more than a dozen or so dogs on the beach. Must be some sort of special permit.
