I'm retired Military and intend to leave my handguns at a military base in the US until I return from Ak. You can take long guns as was mentioned earlier, luckily I will be doing some competitive skeet and trap shooting in Ak, so my shotguns wont be a problem.
Alaska doesnt have much that they mail out covering the options up there. They make a ton available online and so does BC.
The Yukon territory from their website does have a print set of brochures and maps that you can request, and they include the information for Province campgrounds and parks. Mine came last week so they should have them available now.
