Not a good idea. Ferry stops at Prince Rupert, BC, and if it breaks there, You are SOL. Gotta' get off, but can't get off. A few years ago the captain of the tour boat Lulu Belle broke down on the way from Washington state to Valdez and had to put in to BC. Major, Major, Major, problems as he had at least one pistol onboard. Almost lost the tour boat, but legal fees were for sure involved.
