yeah..okay jfkmk. I have to come clean...I do it the same way because I am cheap. I camp free all over the place and I always feel I have failed if I end up anyplace other than with a great view, quiet and wifi.
Also..I am a bleeding heart, left leaning Liberal, so the sight of the homeless just breaks my heart. I try to remind myself everyday, how grateful I am and how lucky. I spent most of my adult life one paycheck from being without and now that I am retired and with a pension, the need to be frugal has diminished, but it is from habit that I still seek out the free spots. It is all part of the days games. I still seldom eat out, shop wisely and only drink good wine, good bourbon and good coffee. Life is to short to go cheap on those things.
