Stockton Lake, Missouri

Question

Would like to go to Stockton lake next weekend, but we have never been there, so I'm looking for campground recommendations. The State park looks nice, but I can't can't seem to find much info on the Corps of Engineers campgrounds. Reserveamerica doesn't show photos of the campsites at the Corps campgrounds so it's hard to get a feel for them, so I'm looking for advice from you folks, thanks.

Can't tell you about the Corps campgrounds at Stockton,but back in the late 80's we stayed at Pomme de Terra Lake Corps Campground and it was very nice.lots of room between sites.But from the pictures,the state park campground at Stockton looks nice as well.

Crab Tree Cove is the one we typically go to. Not bad but don't expect luxuries. DO NOT go to Orleans Trails Marina. Took 2 flushings to clean the rust out of the water system. The showers weren't open but didn't look that good.

We like Hawkers Point CoE Campground.  But u need reservations
