Ten gauge wire is used for 30 amp, not twelve gauge.
The "standard household outlet" (receptacle) is approved for 15 or 20 amp, not 30 amp.
WOW. You really know your stuff. I am so very glad that you educated me. I think tomorrow first thing I will tear out all the old 12/3 wire in my RV slip and put in 10 gauge wire. I will also change out all of my receptacles. Thanks again
My, aren't you a charming person? Twelve gauge wire and 20 amp receptacles on a 30 amp breaker won't be a problem - that is unless you actually start pulling 30 amps through it. Apparently you never have.
