Its not in Michigan but on your way up I-77, you go thru Dover OH and I highly recommend seeing the Warther Museum. He was a world class carver and there are hundreds of amazing items he carved.

Not too far off 77 is Holmes County the largest Amish settlement in the US if you have time. Its gotten a little touristy but a good lunch can be had at Boyd and Wurthmans.
