I would suggest this place:
St. Peters 370 Lakeside
It's got large, pull thru sites, full hookups, in a safe area, and it's fairly close to the Sheraton. Google maps showed it to be about 14 miles away, depending on which route you want to take. We have not camped there personally, but we visited friends who were camping there several times. We liked it, and would certainly consider it.
