Book early.
Last Summer we were looking for spots one day ahead and most places to plug in were booked up. We got one night at KOA-west and it was good. Couple nights at North American RV Park (west side) that was OK but pretty basic. Johnsons and KOA were full on the east side but stayed 4 nights at Red Eagle Motel that also manages some RV spots. This was just a place to have hookups, no real facilities. Good price but low voltage issues in the afternoon with the heat wave that rolled through while we were there. North of the border we stayed at The Great Canadian Barn Dance that has some RV spots. A bit of a drive back to Glacier and a snafu getting in our spot due to poor reservations management but it turned out OK.
