This is just a general information post, as I am quite frustrated with this resort.Do NOT PAY in advance here! They make absolutely NO attempt to help you if you need to cancel for an emergency!!! They even rented our space to someone else for the MAJORITY of the time we had paid, and they still didn't refund ANY of our payment, nor did they offer to let us come and stay another time. We will NEVER go there!!!! There are too many other beautiful places to stay in this area. Not a happy camper here!!!!

Yes I see your point RV CONUS but the original poster is SPECIAL and does not need to look at the policies. They only apply to us ordinary people.More of the policy states; Refunds are not made for changes in your plans or the weather . . . Understand that we cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules or other situations affecting our guests and therefore, enforce our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. I mean after all how was the OP supposed to know the policy with an ambiguous statement as above :h

The post was not meant as a blast to the OP or defend a resort I have never visited. I have a lot of time on my hands today, and was curious about the totality of circumstances. Just the facts. Where you sit depends on what you see.We seldom make reservations that require a deposit. Before laying out $; I ensure I review their cancellation policy. Things happen.The subject park looks like a nice resort based on reviews and their website. I don't normally pay that rate to go to a park, except on a very rare, did I say very rare occasion.As Sgt. Friday use to say, "just the facts, ma'am, just the facts":Wobtw, that's probably one of the toughest NO Refund policies I've seen. However, got to hand it to them, they spelled it out, in detail.

I have actually stayed at the campground and I thought it was a nice place.I am always cognizant of the cancellation policies of anyplace that I am booked into. I remember in 1989 my dad rolled a farm tractor over on himself and I was called back home. I was at the Outer Banks at the time at the KOA there. At that time they had a no refund policy as well. I went to the office to tell them I had to leave and they refunded my remaining fee after I told them what had happened. I wasn't expecting a refund but they asked why I had to leave and after I told them they did it any way.This past winter I had snowbird reservations at Willow Tree and made a $125 deposit. I have family in TX that my mother wanted to visit so I cancelled the Willow Tree reservation with a $25 forfeiture. I knew this and was happy to get at least a $100 back. I knew this at the time I made the reservation. I had planned to go to Willow Tree this snowbird season but they want a $500 deposit now with a $250 forfeiture if you cancel. So I am not going there this year because $250 is too much to lose since I have to remain fairly fluid due to family obligations.My whole point is...know the policies before you plunk down your money and if you cannot live with the policy, you may need to rethink your choice. YMMV
