SUN RISE

Tom Sawyer in my opinion is nice for watching the river but not a lot else to do at the park. There are a few things to do around Memphis, Graceland being one. For me 2 or 3 nights is about all I want.

Toying about stopping at Tom Sawyer and number of times, but never had. It appears that it is a nice park. Would any/all of you recommend it for a destination or simply a stop over park?

Tom Sawyer is my all time favorite CG. Pulled in to just spend the night on the way to Florida and ended up staying a week. All the lighted up barges running down the river at night was just amazing.

Would have stayed longer but the tornado that touched down in it while I was there gave me cause to get back on the road. :C

DannyA. I just reread your Mark Twain quote. Makes me think that I don't spend enough time doing the things I want to do. So in the new year. I will do more Started yesterday. I have always wanted to travel Rt. 66 and I will. Went to the display at the Jefferson Memorial, MO History Museum in Forest Park in St. Louis. To see the Rt. 66 display. Really cool. Dug out my Rt. 66 books. Will take them with me to FL. to read while I spend the winter there and dream of Getting My Kicks on Rt. 66

All so beautiful I guess I never think to take a picture I don't think I have seen a bad sunrise or sunset, the alternative doesn't sound like fun. Some are just prettier than others. WE watched the sunset on Galveston island on the beach with family and was that wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
