Sunshine Coast

Hi folks,

Any suggestion on Sunshine Coast, Canada? Suck as Lund, Powell River, Gibsons and Savary Island.

Much appreciated

Yongkie
  • Canada has a "Sunshine Coast"?! That's normally in Florida. Canada using it seems like deceptive advertizing.
  • Well, yes... there is suggestions. But for what and when? What do you want? A place to eat, park, sleep, hike, bike, boat, fish, shop, get some sun, plug in, boondock?

It's really hot here now, so A/C? 30 Amp, 50 Amp or your own generator?

Anyway.. there is ferries, prices, shopping, more ferries, etc..

    So.. your turn next.
  • Ok Mike,

What to see and where to stay, DW needs a clean bathroom sonce none in our rig.

    Many thanks
  • Mike,

Oops I forgot, it will be July 2015, we will take the ferry from Comox to Powell River..

Comox is on Vancouver Island. Powell River via short ferry is on the top end of the Sunshine Coast. Be sure & drive the entire Sunshine Coast route from Powell River to Vancouver. Lots to do ample services. Drive safe, enjoy the awesome scenery...bendy curves.
Often when on that route we overnighted on the ferry lane with no troubles, but check first ifs that's an option. Rules & regulations have taken over every possible luxury it seems.

We do have a Sunshine Coast only with a more clearer & more blue sky.;)
  • What gbm97 said plus grizzly bears and here the cougars live in the woods, not in bars
  • Sorry Yongkie, but you haven't answered my questions, so it's still really hard to point you anywhere. You don't have a bathroom and want a clean one. That tells me a little, but still a lot depends on you, and what you want to do. Tell us what you have, and what kind of activities you want to do. Tell us how many days you have, and what you want to spend. Do you want a rustic park in the woods, or a prime spot of row housing with a view and a price. There is beaches, hiking trails, lakes, streams, funky towns, provincial parks... really so much. You could spend a month and scratch the surface, or a couple of days and just go on some twisty roads.
  • Ok Mike,

I have a class B, I want a clean RV Park, no boondock please. I have less than a week. I like sceneries more than hiking since I have a balance issue. You can start with the RV Parks in the Sunshine Coast.
  • Oh here is the rig that I have
