This is our "home" park! We consider ourselves fortunate to live 15 minutes from there. When we want a quick weekend trip, we'll often use it.
The hiking is very nice! There is an easy lower loop, and a difficult climb to the top. The Kayaking / Canoeing is okay, but not a very big lake. If you make it before Labor Day, the swimming beach will still be open, and that's a nice spot on a hot day. Speaking of that, there is a beautiful, small waterfall and swimming hole just a few hundred yards in on the hiking trail.
With our trailer, we are limited to about half the sites. The other half are quite tiny. The loop road is also very curvy with many low and close tree branches. I wouldn't want to do the loop in anything larger than ours.
Bring your groceries, etc. in with you, as there really isn't an option for a half hour to 45 minutes in any direction.
Up Hwy276 into Brevard and up to the BRP and back down 215 would make a nice way to spend a day.
