Tanglewood Park, Clemmons NC

Drove through it again last week and noticed that there is a combination of both somewhat level and some unlevel sites. Last time I was there, I thought there were more unlevel sites than I noticed this time. Anyway, I was telling a coworker about it. He was trying to make plans there and when his wife called, the lady on the phone for the park told her all the sites were level, which we know is not true. Only live about 40 minutes from there, but without having to drive back over and check again, can anyone off hand tell me which sites are off level? Makes a big difference to us because we have motorhomes with out jacks.

  • oh that is interesting. I will go check :)

edited to say---by george they did away with it. on the site map when ya reserved it would say level or unlevel. that is gonzo! :(

    well I know 6-7-8-9 are level :)
  • Funnycamper, that's what I thought I saw the other day on their site, but myself and a coworker looked yesterday and di not see that listed anymore.
  • their website tells you level or unlevel sites.
it is listed. when I went online to book the site, it clearly states 'level' or 'unlevel' lots.
When we went I chose site 8. loved it. easy in/out. level. angled nice etc.

check the website and choose a 'level lot'
  • Maybe they are more set up for TT and not many spaces for motorhomes. With a TT you can unhook and drop the tongue down to level. Motorhomes are sot so accommodating to be lowered or raised very far either way.
  • That's what I thought I remembered wingsfan. We don't need satellite coverage though. Thanks
  • Most of the sites in the middle of park are not level front to back. I asked about that and was told that because of the covenant for the gift of the property, major site regrading was not permitted. Thus center is like a bowl. Just for info, site 10 is a pull through site with satellite capability(Dish HD) most sites on perimeter are pretty level.

wb, I think what they mean is side to side.
Definitely not from front to back. They did this we were told to help water run off better. They do have some sites that do not have as much front/back slope.

Well front/back is still un level. A slight slope is ok, something that a board or two would fix. But there are sites that would take raising one end of my 32' + motorhome of a foot or more. Some of the sites are pretty close to level or level enough. It would really suck for someone from far away to make plans there and be told the site is level and they get ere and it isn't.

  • We stayed in site #1 and it was level. We also were able to get satellite there.
Also, Sites 2 and 15-16 across from 1&2 are level.
