This couple is only going to be gone a few months, as I understood it; winter snowbirds not fulltimers. When you fulltime, your home, your belongings and all your mail goes with you. When you're a snowbird & only gone a few months and still have a fixed home, you don't necessarily want everything redirected. Its more like a long vacation trip rather than a permanent change. But yes, taxes are easily dealt with in either case.
