We always chuckle when we hear of those hurrying home to do their taxes. :)
Everything can be done online now....and yes, it's safe.
For snowbirders, how is your mail being handled? Have a friend or relative scan through your envelopes beginning in January and if it looks like a tax thing, give them a address and they can mail it to you wherever you are. They could save them up for you until March and mail them all at once.
However, every form can be accessed online nowadays but you need to set it up before you go. It's very easy. There's no reason to receive any mail in these times.
