For real, it was even 77 degrees in Charlotte, NC today....lol But it will be dropping again tomorrow afternoon. A week ago, we were hiking at Pilot Mountain, NC and is was near freezing then. lol - NinerBikesExplorerAbout a year ago, I bought my travel trailer in Big Rock, IL on Black Friday and spent a few days driving out there to pick it up. Weather was fine going over Eisenhower Pass at 11,158 ft., but when I left Des Moines, IA a cold dense artic front was spreading south out of the Canadian plains that day. Picked up the trailer around 2 pm, and made it back to a WalMart in Davenport, ready to call it a night. It was -7F when I got up in the morning, and getting out of bed into that cold air was a once in a lifetime experience. I am too old for that... I used to do it in a tent camping at ice out fishing for trophy brown trout, but not any more. Been there, done that. But I did save a fortune taking delivery and bringing my travel trailer back myself, instead of having it trucked west. Trailering in that cold sucks the hell out of your MPG in that cold dense air pulling a big old 8X8 wall behind you.

- was_butnotnowExplorerNot wanting to start a flame war here but as I huddled in bed in our 5er this morning and saw the outside temp wa about 29. But clicked and added Harlingen TX to my Weather Channel App and the temps there were about the same as here in Quartzsite, but they also have cold rain.
Just checked and Q was 51 and south TX was 48. It is cold everywhere but I have to be honest IT will be warmer in south TX very soon and at a higher level than in Q.

I was very warm so just wanted to see who is cold when they just could put on the 2nd ele cover and burn some more LP.
why yes, it is cold. Why do you ask? - D_E_BishopExplorerWe live in the NE corner of LA near the Rose Bowl, it is currently 45.6 up one degree from the low last night. I'd love to be in Q and have the same temps as here. No one to yak with about important stuff like, not winterizing, cost of propane, lubing the holding tank valves, using Sea Foam or Sta-Bil while in storage.

- MaverickBBDExplorerI am in Desert Hot Springs, 2 1/2 miles north (on the cheap side of the 10). It got down in the 40's last night. Luckily I have a site that is not on a meter so I drug out the space heaters and it was 73 inside at my 4 a.m. walk around.
- Jerry_CampbellExplorer28 on weather.com when the sun came up.
BUT, beautiful clear and sunny. - hugemothExplorer32 degrees right now in Quartzsite (scadden wash) at 4:18 am.
