Here we go again with another KOA bashing thread.
Getting an "attitude" from front desk people, I agree, is REALLY annoying! If someone is going to be the "receptionist", then they need to understand their job and they have to be polite, no matter how bad their day is going. Especially at a KOA, which is going to be mostly weekenders.
So NOT relevant that's a KOA. That type of customer service is just as important at ANY campground. To single out KOA and make that judgment about "weekenders" (a term I also take exception to) is ludicrous and unfounded.
To the OP: Did you find out all of their policies up front? If not, then it's not the campground's fault. It's up to us, as consumers, to find out all policies prior to arrival so we may choose to stay there or not. I find it interesting that no one else has pointed that out, considering if this wasn't a KOA cg that, most likely, would have been one of the first comments. Is $20 too high? That would depend on amenities, any functions that might be occurring, etc. If you want to dance, you may have to pay the piper.
