Texas crud in Canada or is it a form of bronchitis?

Hey all;

Did not make it down south last winter and missed the benifits of all that sunshine! Problem is I've caught what I can only lable as "the Texas crud".

Has anyone found and used a home cure for this illness? In the past - I've been lucky I've been able to shake it by relaxing in the sunshine. Now this wet, damp Canadian weather is forecasted to continue for days if not weeks. Your call. Thanks in advancce. :p
  • Boston, 2oldman is right; get thee to a doctor. Soon after I returned from a wedding in Chicago last August, I contracted pneumonia, and our doctor put me on a truck load of antibiotics to shake it. I assume I caught it in the crowded O'Hare Airport, one of the dirtiest airports I've ever been through.
  • I'm confused - you said you could not make it down south this past winter. I would think that you have bronchitis - couldn't you only get Texas crud in Texas ? ? ? ? I doubt it would lie dormant and give you problems a year later - but maybe it is possible.

    Have you considered allergies?
  • Did you pick up "valley fever" in Texas? The problem is it is serious and northern doctors know nothing about it. I got it in AZ and my WY doctor thought I was joking until he talked to another doctor that came from AZ. Lots of info on the internet. You need a specialist that has knowledge about it. There is a blood test for it.

    Valley fever is in the dust and as the wind blows it is impossible to avoid.
  • If it's anything like bronchitis you'd know it. Get thee to a doctor.
