Texas Hill Country

Recommendations for your favorite campgrounds in this area? We generally prefer State Parks, county parks, COE campgrounds. We like some hiking, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, looking at water, a bit of kayaking and maybe bicycling. Historic sites nearby are a plus.

Traveling in April.

Thanks,

  • There are a couple of COE cg on Canyon Lake, north pf San Antonio and east of Fredericksburg. But I've heard that SP is good too. We visited Fredericksburg from one of those COE CG.
  • We stayed at Pedernales Falls state park. Loved it! Highly recommended.
