Texas weather

As a snow bird living hundreds of miles away from our place in Texas the news coverage of the rains in Texas can be very concerning. We have a place in San Benito at Fun N Sun. Our neighbors have been keeping us informed. There has been no flooding and minimal wind damage in our park but others have not been so lucky. Our sympathy goes out to other parts of Texas were the weather has been devastating.

  • Oh, I know. Half the people here don't know where the RGV is no less GWN.

Still the correct definition of GWN was the first to pop up on Google.

    No!

Someday, maybe forum members will realize we live in a very BIG country, and even have forum members from Australia and Europe (and beyond). Not everyone knows local terminologies and acronyms.

I have a sister, brother-in-law, and nephew that lives in Texas. I think of their situation often.
  • Crazy place that Texas. You build a house on a river an it gets sweep away. You build a house on a lake and the lake shrinks away.

High winds hit the west end of the RGV causing damage at Chimney RV park last week. Comfort and ease does come at a price when you give up the wheels I guess.

  • Today is the first day in the last eleven days we are not getting rain. Many have lost everything, unfortunately a number who have lost their lives. Fortunately we live on high ground with no fear of flooding.
  • We just got our first rain in a month. I'm sorry for the flooding down there but the rain is sure welcome up here in the GWN.

    Thank You
Will it ever stop raining? We personally have not flooded but it has affected every day life trying to get around during the day.

Once the sun comes out, and I'm sure it will someday, the mosquitoes will be horrible.
