Where to stay for an overnite around Odessa Texas John R.

Never have stayed there, but I believe I would try for Monahans Sandhills State Park, just off the I-20 near Monahans. About 36 miles westbound from Odessa.
One may also overnight at Texas RestAreas.
There is a turn out Exit 142 near Midland.
There is a rest area Exit 69 near Pyote. We spent one night at one years ago, I believe it was the one at Exit 191 near Coahoma. It is well before Odessa/Midland as well as Big Spring. The is a turn out near Big Spring at Exit 168.
There is also one off I-10 eastbound of Van Horn at Exit 144.
Odessa has two Walmarts:

Midland has one just off the interstate.
