The Abandoned Settlements Inside National Parks

Thanks for posting. We're headed to one of these for the coming weekend - Portsmouth Village within Cape Lookout National Seashore. Its accessible only by boat or a private vehicle ferry service. The Parks Service has a several rustic cabins for rent on the south end of the island but we'll be tenting this time.
