The Bend in the road at Bonneville salt flats.

My search came up empty, so hopefully someone has info. on this place. Anyone ever camped there? Thinking about taking a trip out there during the speed week salt flats races. I'll be taking my 11y...

Camping is not allowed on the salt flats, but the bend in the road is a mud flat where one can camp for free.
Just looking for anyone who has been there so I know what to expect.
There is a place down the road from the bend that some have talked about also.
Both are free and primitive.
